PSR-1 Sulfur Recovery Catalyst is produced by alumina as the supporter, carried with additive and binder, after shaped ,dired and activated. PSR-1 is used to treat with the acid gases containing H2S for the sake of recovery sulfur element and environmental protection in oil refinery, chemical factory, Iron & steel plant and natural gas treatment processes. The total conversion of sulfur can reach to above 95%.

3. Plant start-up:Catalyst PSR is no needed activation treatment,main points of startup after heating-up to remove absorbed water are as follows:1)Burning furnace by fuel gas and oxygen, effluent gases should be emptyed before converter.2)Putting in fuel gas after burning furnace,heating-up the catalyst layer at the speed of 30~40/hour. Removing absorbed water by keeping constant temperature for 2~3 hours when the layer temperature rise up to 120, keeping constant temperature for 2 hours to stabilize operation when layer temperature rises up to 240~250,then change to Normal operation by using acid gas,H2S/SO2 ratio should be modulated to 2:1 when operating. 3)Converter temperature: generally after temperature of the first converter bed reach 300~320 temperature of second converter is 240~260 , other operating conditions remain the same.Operating conditions can be adjusted at any time when operating if operating conditions are not the same as above,but temperature of any catalyst layers cant be up to 420 and operating temperature couldnt be under Sulfur dew-point..... 4)It is must to be noted:To avoid catalyst layer coking because of burning incompletely caused by lacking of oxygen,it is must to analyze oxygen amount every hour in order to adjust the operation.Condensate water in the pipe should be emptied when catalyst layer temperature is out of control and cooling the catalyst layer by using steam,so water wont flow to catalyst layer to affect catalyst strength.
